Pathways 2 NHS Procurement

NHS Graduate opportunities in Procurement

Be part of this innovative and exciting procurement graduate scheme working with the NHS

The NHS Procurement Graduate Training Scheme was introduced in 2020, welcoming graduates into NHS procurement teams across Yorkshire & Humber and London in 2021. Following the success of this pilot year, The Skills Development Network, Yorkshire & Humber(SDN Y&H), now with support from Health Care Supply Association (HCSA) and NHS England (NHSE), are advertising the National training and development programme for Graduates to join procurement teams throughout various NHS organisations across England.

This training initiative offers graduates an opportunity to develop a career in NHS procurement. It will allow you to gain experience in buying, contract management, materials management and many more areas within procurement. The graduate programme will give you a unique insight into how the NHS organisation works.

If you want to work in the NHS and believe that you can make a difference whilst fulfilling a career that maximises your procurement and leadership potential, that will challenge and reward you every day, then this 2-year training scheme based on work placements will be ideal for you. It is guaranteed to offer outstanding development opportunities which will challenge you and reward you every day.

We are able to offer an introduction into a rewarding career in procurement, high quality training, a professional qualification and exposure to, and insight into the challenges faced by a critical NHS organisation.  In return, I recognise I am getting individuals with unique skills and fresh ideas and resource I can utilise for value adding activities that I have previously been unable to do.”
